My sons play little league baseball. My husband and I are active in the league’s planning committee. The fields are in terrible condition, so we were trying to raise money to construct new fields. We were successful in raising the money to buy the land where the fields would be placed, but we were having trouble coming up with the money to actually build the new fields. Every time we conducted a fundraiser, a team needed new uniforms or helmets. A few businesses donated some money to the league, so we had enough money afterall. Now that the funds have been secured for the project, we just have to find the perfect backhoe for the job. There is a lot of digging to do before the project can get underway.

There are a lot of ways to get a workout, but one way you might not have thought about is using a scooter. I’m not talking about the motorized scooters, but rather the old fashioned manual scooters. These actually require some effort on the users part and can be a pretty good cardio workout. Not to mention they can be a lot of fun!
